In 2019, China's population was 1.43 billion, and India's was 1.37 billion, accounting for 19% and 18% of the global population, respectively. However, by 2050, India's population will increase by nearly 273 million and thus exceed 1.5 billion, while China's population will be reduced to about 1.1 billion. In addition to India and China, the countries with the most population after 30 years are expected to include Nigeria (733 million), the United States (434 million), and Pakistan (403 million). The rankings of these five countries are expected to remain until the end of the century.
