Yale University neuroscientist Nelson Sestein led the research team to successfully resurrect the brains of dead pigs recovered from slaughterhouses. By using the BrainEx system to pump artificial blood into the brains of dead pigs, the pig's brain returns to a state of "life" for up to 36 hours. Although the consciousness of the pig brain has not recovered in this study, Sesstein believes that recovery consciousness is entirely possible. Most importantly, this technology can be applied to primate brains (including humans) and to live indefinitely.
